Rise of the Guardians: Purpose In Life Chapter 9

The next morning, the sunlight shone in my face and it woke me up. Well, it's probably 6:00 a.m. so this early is now is the best time to keep going. Then after a few hours, it seemed about 10:00 a.m. I sat down to rest for a few minutes and looked into another frozen lake.

Oh great, now I have a fresh new scar across my eye. But that wasn't all I've seen just yet. My short brown hair was now cream colored! "Oh my gosh!"

Then I heard my kitties start meowing and I walked over to them to calm them down, "It's going to be okay, babies. We just have to figure out where we are."

But then, I heard a female voice say cheerfully, "Oh hello! How are you doing?"

I turned to face her and said, "Good. I'm Shannon, by the way."

"Hi Shannon," She said, happily. "It's so nice to meet you! I'm Tooth. Everyone calls me the Tooth Fairy!"

The Tooth Fairy? Wait a minute, the Tooth Fairy! This is her! She was part girl and part hummingbird. Her eyes were pink colored, even around her eyes were pink. Her eyelashes resembled tiny feathers. Her feathers were all several different colors. They were yellow, green, a lighter green, blue, and purple.

The yellow feathers were around here wrists and ankles, looking like bracelets. And other yellow feathers looked like a crown and earrings. She looked very beautiful. And her smile was pearly white. She was also with several other and tinier fairies. Then she gasped, "Oh, you poor thing! You look terrible!"

"I know." Was all I could say next.

"You want to come to my palace and get yourself freshened up?" She asked kindly.

"Okay." I smiled, feeling very thankful that she wanted to help me.

"Alright!" She cheered. Then she got out a snow globe, and shook it, then said to it, "Tooth Palace." Then she smashed it on the ground and a portal appeared in front of us. "Come on!" She said before flying in with the other fairies. Then I jumped in after her, carrying my stuff and my cats.

Later, Tooth let me brush my teeth and shower in her palace. When I breathed in the leftover steam, Tooth had already picked out some new clothes for me, left out laying on her bed just for me. I put them on, and they fit perfectly! I was dressed in different shades of brown, wore gloves that had roses and vines attached to them.

I even wore a cowgirl hat with another rose on it, black leggings with rose and vine imprints. I jumped as I heard Tooth come inside, "Oh, look at you! You look so cute! Don't you agree, girls?" Her mini fairies squeaked in agreement and happiness.

"So," Tooth continued. "What do you think of the Tooth Palace?"

"It's amazing!" I smiled. "You collect every child's teeth in the entire palace, including mine?"

"Yup," She said, her smile stretching wider. "That's right. But you didn't see nothing yet. I want you to meet my friends."

"Who?" I asked again, curious.

"The Guardians, of course!" She laughed. She took another snow globe and said, "North let every one of us borrow some of these." She once again shook it and said, "North Pole." Then she threw it on the ground like before and the same portal appeared.

"Come on!" She took my hand and pulled me inside with her. I landed with a thud and looked up at the other people that stood before me. No way, no way! They're the Guardians! Tooth and Jack, and Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman! I knew they were all real, I knew it!
